Internet Business News - Apacs introduces credit card advice website

A website called "choosing and using" has been introduced by Apacs, the UK payments association, to provide advice for consumers.

Apacs represents the UK credit card industry and said that the site will help people select the most appropriate credit card for their spending behaviour. There are estimated to be 1,500 credit cards available in the UK and the site will provide information on card features. It is understood that people who clear their entire card balance each month will be advised to look at the reward programmes offered and annual fees charged by cards, rather than focusing on interest rates.

The website will not compare specific cards however, and it is believed that people will still need to refer to the Internet or newspapers for comparison tables prior to selecting their credit card. The site is claimed to help people avoid running up too much debt and to provide advice for those already experiencing debt problems.
